Contemplate the cost of inaction

These words are not mine, but I took them personally. As others might as well.

I don’t think there is a way to measure missed opportunities, and it might be a good idea not to, just to avoid letting yourself go on a spiral of regret.

A fine line exists between examining one’s life and beating oneself up. If done correctly, the former might push you into action, encouraging you not to watch life pass by but to be more strategic in making life happen.  The latter won’t serve any good purpose, so let’s leave it in the past, where it belongs.

We can’t change what happened in the past.

But not acting now will, like an avalanche, be an inaction down the road.  And this time, this one will be on me and you; the past can’t take the blame anymore.
